Young Men Summer Camp Planned
The Georgetown Ward Young Men's Summer Camp will be held on July 13-18, 2009 at the Wadsworth property at Wentworth Springs, California. We will be camping on Gerle Creek. It will be an opportunity to earn merit badges and advance through basic scout ranks. The agenda will include the cooking merit badge as we will be cooking all of the meals on-site. The 6 nights of camping will also apply to the 20 days of camping requirement of the Camping Merit Badge. Other merit badges that we will work on include, rifle shooting, swimming, pioneering and orienteering. Attire will be Scout Activity shirt or Scout "Class A" uniform for special events. There will be a nominal cost to cover the cost of meals and activities. We will also be fishing, hiking and boat riding on Loon Lake. Please make your calendars. Fun! Fun! Fun!
